ABE School Teachers Enjoy Con-FAIR-ence

CACHE (Centre for Advanced Studies in Culture, Happiness and Ethics) lived up to its name when they provided educators of various ABE schools in Mumbai an opportunity to reminisce the thrills of a fair that was curated exclusively to let them enjoy and be themselves.

Con-FAIR-ence, a fun filled event, held at St. Andrew’s Educational Campus, on Friday, 26 January 2024, was an awesome take on teachers reliving their memories of the famous Bandra Fair.

Being Republic Day, most teachers proudly dressed themselves in patriotic colours. Our constitution propagates, every Indian to seek education to build its future and teachers are the torch bearers of this hope. What better way to thank them for the endless work they do to reach out to the children of our nation.

Selfie booths, sporting a vintage car and scooter as well as a rocket, and game stalls like nine pins, mini golf and ringing the gifts – just like the ones experienced in the good old days at Bandra fair, adorned the venue. The teachers were enamoured at the arrangements made to create memories for them.

The event kick-started with Fr. Magi Murzello, Founder of CACHE, welcoming the teachers and honouring our Chief Guest for the event, Fr. Thomson Kinny (Principal of St. John the Baptist High School and Junior College, Thane).

The venue was buzzing with energy. The aura around was fun-filled and downright positive. Mouth-watering delicacies and the team games enkindled the child within each teacher present there. Gifts galore were waiting to be won. Ms. Suzie D’Silva, the emcee from team CACHE, made sure that every teacher went back with cherished memories.

Team relay games involving all participants, which was a great ice breaker, also built in team spirit and brought out the best in them. Foot-tapping music made our teachers dance to the beat of the DJ. Chaat stalls churning out the favourites – paani puri and sev puri, had the teachers raving for more. A wholesome and sumptuous fellowship meal was laid out by the organizers. All of these beautiful moments were captured in pictures that will surely go down memory lane.

Team CACHE rolled out yet another of their successful ventures. We thank God for the opportunity to serve the community and help the participants embrace the opportunity to explore their potential, connect with others, and contribute to a brighter future. The team thanks the participants for being a part of the celebration and looks forward to many more such ventures in the future.
